Linux Distributions

Today I’m here to discuss Linux distribution one of the open source technology. As far as I explain my own experience Ubuntu is one of the awesome distribution of Linux. But if we discuss the most used distribution(shortly called distro) is Debian —- The universal operating system.

First of all, I’m going to give you knowledge of all the distro of Linux. Then we take a brief look at all of them.

Here are all the categories/types of Linux distro:

  1. Red Hate
  2. Kali  Linux

RPM-based:

Red Hat Linux and SUSE Linux were the original major distributions that used the .rpm file format, which is today used in several package management systems. Both of these were later divided into commercial and community-supported distributions. Red Hat Linux was divided into a community-supported but  Red Hat sponsored distribution named Fedora, and a commercially supported distribution called Red Har Enterprise Linux, whereas SUSE was divided into openSUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise.

Debian based:

Debian is a distribution that emphasizes free software. It supports many hardware platforms. Debian and distributions based on it use the .debpkg package format and the dpkg package manager and its frontends (such as apt-get or synaptic)
